The Alternative for Germany (AfD) party insists on the abolition of increased payments to Ukrainian refugees. This was stated on August 11 by the co-chairman of the party, Tino Fragalla, in an interview with ZDF TV channel.

"Ukrainians are not entitled to civil benefits. They should come back and help rebuild their country," Abdullah said.

According to him, refugees receive benefits undeservedly. He insists on a single approach: instead of money, their basic needs should be provided through food packages and housing.

On August 7, Verkhovna Rada deputy Nina Yuzhanina announced that only 10% of Ukrainian refugees would want to return to their homeland. She clarified that such indicators are due to the fact that Ukraine has big problems with the judicial system.
