Moscow, Belgrade and Budapest are conducting a financial assessment of the construction of an oil pipeline from Serbia to Hungary, the Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy told Izvestia.

"In cooperation with MOL (Hungarian energy company) and NIS (Serbian energy company), Serbia is considering options for transporting crude oil with a capacity of up to 3 million tons per year," the Serbian ministry of energy told Izvestia.

Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, Russian Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin and Serbian Energy Minister Dubravka Jedovic-Handanovic held talks on the construction of a new 180 km long oil pipeline. It is planned to be commissioned by 2027.
