On August 12, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of Russian military personnel in the area of the special military operation (SVO).

The ministry noted the actions of Guard Senior Sergeant Kirill Lavin, who was tasked with installing a communications repeater in one of the important tactical areas.

While performing a combat mission in a five-story building, Lavin collided with a group of militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), consisting of three people. During the battle, he destroyed the opponents with fire from his personal rifle. When he reached the roof, the senior sergeant radioed in to clear the building and began installing and configuring the repeater.

Thanks to his precise actions, it was possible to ensure communication between the Russian units and the command, which allowed the servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to occupy important frontiers.

In addition, the Russian Defense Ministry drew attention to the actions of Guard Corporal Andrei Bykov, who carried out the task of delivering military equipment to the line of contact for the Russian assault unit.

During the task, Bykov noticed an enemy kamikaze drone flying in his direction. He reacted quickly and dodged the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). The drone detonated next to the car, as a result of which the vehicle was immobilized.

The Guard corporal repaired the car and delivered all the necessary equipment on time. Thanks to his courageous actions, the Russian assault unit was able to effectively complete the assigned tasks.
