An investigation is underway in Krasnogorsk (Moscow Region) into the death of a worker who was repairing an elevator in an apartment building. This is reported by the regional GSU TFR and the prosecutor's office.
The tragedy occurred last Saturday, August 9, in a house on Zapovednaya Street in the village of Ilyinskoye-Usovo. According to preliminary data, a 60-year-old man fell into an elevator shaft while repairing a lift.
As a result of falling from a height of the ninth floor, the worker received various injuries, from which he died at the scene, the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya writes.
Upon the death of a person, the Investigative Committee began checking. Based on its results, a decision will be made to initiate a criminal case. The prosecutor's office also organized its own check. The Agency will find out whether the requirements of the legislation on labor protection and safety were observed. All the circumstances and causes of the incident are being established.
At the end of June, a worker fell to his death at a construction site in the south of Moscow. A 30-year-old man fell from a height of the 30th floor, where he was carrying out work.
