Two people were killed when a car collided with a truck on the Irtysh highway

A man and a woman were killed in a collision between a passenger car and a truck in the Kurgan region. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on Monday afternoon, August 11, on the 393rd km of the federal highway R-254 "Irtysh". It was previously established that the 43-year-old driver of a Kia passenger car drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Volvo truck driven by a 50-year-old man.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the car and its passenger received various injuries, from which they died on the spot before the ambulance arrived. The circumstances of the accident are being established.

As told to the news agency "Hurrah.<url>" in the press service of the FKU Uprdor "South Ural", due to the accident, reverse traffic was introduced on the section of the Irtysh highway.

On the same day, oncoming Niva and Mercedes-Benz collided on the highway in the Rostov region. Both the driver and the passenger of the domestic car were killed.
