Dmitry Likhodumov, the world champion in kickboxing, died at the age of 50. This was announced on August 11 by the press service of the Kickboxing Federation of Russia.
"It is with deep regret that we inform you that Dmitry Likhodumov, an international master of sports in kickboxing, a multiple champion of Russia, has passed away," the Telegram channel says.
It is noted that Likhodumov was also a prize-winner of the European Championship, a finalist of the World Championship and a world champion among professionals.
"Dmitry has made a great contribution to the development of kickboxing in Lipetsk, Russia and beyond <...> This is a huge loss for all of us," the press service added.
Likhodumov became the champion of Russia in 1998, 1999 and 2001. In 2002, he became the world professional champion.
