In Yaroslavl, a resident was fined for comparing a new school uniform with Hitler's clothes. The relevant information was published on the official website of the regional Dzerzhinsky District Court on August 11.

"Bondarenko <data withdrawn> should be found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation and given an administrative penalty in the form of an administrative fine of 1,000 rubles," the court said in a statement.

It is clarified that on July 13, a woman left a comment under a publication with photos of a new school uniform in one of the groups on the VKontakte social network. According to the court, in her message, the resident compared the school uniform with Hitler's clothes, attaching a photo with his uniform.

She was brought to administrative responsibility under the article for propaganda or public display of Nazi paraphernalia or symbols. It is noted that during the meeting, the woman pleaded guilty. The court considered this a mitigating circumstance and fined her 1,000 rubles, obliging her to delete the comment.

Alexander Reut, Director of the Department of State General Education Policy and Development of Preschool Education at the Russian Ministry of Education, said on August 6 that the introduction of GOST on school uniforms would help erase the boundaries between children from families with different incomes. According to him, the standard is also designed to protect schoolchildren from poor—quality clothing, and parents from unnecessary expenses.

On June 29, Russia introduced GOST for sewing school uniforms for the first time. As specified in the document describing the new standards, uniforms for schoolchildren should be designed in a business style, and the cut should be used so that it is comfortable to stay in a sitting position for a long time in clothes.
