The person involved in the attack on the Moscow post office, Regina Shikhova, was arrested before October 8. This was announced on August 11 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Nagatinsky District Court of the capital.

It is specified that the woman will remain in custody for one month and 29 days.

According to the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital, the court refused to satisfy the defense lawyer's request to choose another preventive measure not related to detention.

The robbery took place on August 8 in the Tsaritsyno area. It was reported that two unidentified men, wearing masks, threatened an employee with an object structurally similar to a pistol, stole money and fled. A criminal case was opened under Part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Robbery"). Later, on August 9, police officers detained the suspects. 142 thousand rubles were seized from them.

The press service of the Russian Post company told Izvestia that their customers would not suffer due to the actions of intruders. It was noted that the funds operated by the Russian Post are insured.
