- A cache of ammunition was seized in the DPR from a man who threw grenades into the yard of a neighbor
In the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), police officers seized a cache of ammunition from a man who threw two grenades into a neighbor's yard. This was reported on August 11 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic.
"Operational officers of the police department for the maintenance of the Kuibyshev district of Donetsk detained a local resident born in 1976, suspected of threatening to kill and illegal possession of ammunition," the department's Telegram channel said.
They clarified that the defendant often came into conflict with a 64-year-old neighbor. During one such quarrel, a man threw two hand grenades into the courtyard of a woman's house. As a result, one of them exploded, causing damage to the territory, while the owner of the house was not injured. The suspect was detained.
The ministry added that the police seized an ammunition cache in the attacker's house, including six mines, 80 rounds of ammunition and more than 60 grenades. A criminal case has been opened against the defendant under Part 1 of Article 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Threat of murder").
On July 17, special forces of the Russian Guard discovered caches of ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the forest belt of the DPR. It was noted that the Ukrainian militants hid grenades, smoke bombs, mines with removed fuses, as well as a barrel for a Kalashnikov machine gun and more than 700 rounds of ammunition.
