In Peru, 10 people died as a result of a bus falling into the abyss
In Peru, a passenger bus fell into a chasm, killing 10 people and injuring 37. This was reported on August 11 by RPP radio with reference to the prosecutor's office.
"At least ten people died <...> when the Selva Sur interprovincial bus fell into a chasm about 200 m deep in the Waillabamba area," the article says.
It is specified that all the victims, including eight minors, were hospitalized with various injuries. Currently, police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
On August 9, 11 people were killed and 46 injured in a collision between a truck and a bus in the state of Mato Grosso in central Brazil. According to preliminary data, the bus was heading to the city of Sinop.
