Vyacheslav Gladkov, Governor of the Belgorod Region, suggested that Andrei Dyatlov, Deputy Minister of Sports of the region, who refused to visit a sports complex in the border area, consider changing his job. He announced this on August 11.

Earlier, Gladkov reported on his social networks that Dyatlov did not go to the sports complex in the village of Urazovo, Valuysky district, explaining his refusal by saying that he was "scared." At a meeting of the regional government, Valery Siryushov, the first Deputy Minister of Sports of the region, noted this case and suggested "taking measures," adding that such actions by officials reduce confidence in the authorities.

"If a person is not able, based on the characteristics of his character, to cope with this situation, probably, in this period of time that we are going through, these positions are not for him. I probably need to say thank you and look for another employment opportunity for this person," Gladkov said at an operational meeting.

The Governor stressed that decisions on personnel changes should be made strictly within the framework of current legislation, without prejudice to the rights of employees. Gladkov instructed the heads of relevant ministries to look for other employment opportunities for those who are not ready to work in areas where it is unsafe.

Gladkov reported on August 10 that drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) had damaged the church of the Icon of the Mother of God "The Sign" and an apartment building in the village of Urazovo, Belgorod region. According to him, another FPV drone damaged the windows and facade of a commercial facility, and a civilian car was hit by shrapnel. Also, as a result of the drone attack, the roof of the social facility building was pierced. In the same village, due to drone attacks, cars and the roof of a warehouse building caught fire.
