On August 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with Omsk Region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko, noted the growth of investments and industrial production in the region.

Putin noted that the gross regional product is increasing, and industrial production is growing. The President also noted a significant increase in wages in the Omsk region.

"And the growth of industrial production is 3.3%, twice as high as the average in Siberia," the president stressed.

Khotsenko noted the problem of staff outflow, which is typical for Siberia as a whole. But, according to him, the pace of this process is decreasing, "the dynamics are positive." When Khotsenko complained about a significant percentage of dilapidated and dilapidated housing in the region, Putin noted that "there are quite a lot of dilapidated, dilapidated, but less than in comparison with other regions of Russia."

In addition, Putin supported Khotsenko's initiative to apply for a treasury infrastructure loan program to attract more than 8 billion rubles for investment projects. As the head of the region pointed out, these funds are needed, among other things, for the implementation of the Omsk-Fedorovka airport construction project.

On July 28, the head of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, noted the contribution of the Omsk Region to achieving the technical sovereignty of the Russian Federation. Mishustin said that the Omsk region is famous for industrial and scientific projects, as well as developing mechanical engineering and the space industry.
