Nikitin allowed the courier profession to disappear due to drone delivery
The courier profession may become extinct in the near future due to the use of drone delivery of goods. This was announced on August 11 on the sidelines of the Archipelago 2025 intensive course within the framework of the Unmanned Systems: Technologies of the Future forum by Russian Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin.
"There are experiments related to drone delivery. Maybe courier will soon become an endangered profession," he told TASS.
According to the head of the department, the prospect of drone delivery in Russia is huge. However, Nikitin continued, such a method of transferring goods will not be implemented soon, since it is necessary to first conduct tests to ensure the safety of people.
Igor Rastorguev, a leading analyst at AMarkets, told Izvestia on June 27 that wage growth in Russia is possible, but it is uneven across industries and regions. The largest increase in income is observed in the segment of working professions and logistics. He noted that, for example, the demand for couriers, drivers, assemblers, builders and manufacturing specialists remains high, which forces employers to raise salaries, especially in large cities.
