FSB: preparation of a terrorist attack with a bomb disguised as chess was filmed on video

A pensioner recruited by the Ukrainian special services planted a bomb disguised as a chessboard to assassinate the Russian military. A video with footage of the preparation of the terrorist attack on August 11 was published by the Public Relations Center of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia.

The video shows an elderly woman taking a chess board out of her bag and placing it on the hood of a car. Later, the woman is detained, and the bomb is taken from the scene by a bomb disposal robot. On camera, the pensioner said that she had been deceived by scammers.

"I was deceived by scammers in the amount of 1.3 million rubles," says another pensioner, who was also forced to participate in the preparation of an assassination attempt on a Russian military man.

Earlier that day, the FSB reported that the special services of Ukraine had recruited five retired women to commit terrorist acts as "live bombs" in Russia. Fraudsters, posing as employees of Russian law enforcement agencies, deceived pensioners through the international Internet messengers Telegram and WhatsApp (part of Meta, the organization is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), promising to return lost savings.
