Ambassador Yakovenko spoke about a possible proposal to Zelensky from Russia and the United States

Russia and the United States may propose to the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, the federalization of the country. This was announced on August 11 by Alexander Yakovenko, member of the Presidium of the Scientific and Expert Council of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation.

"The most important element of the plan that will be proposed by Moscow and Washington to Vladimir Zelensky is <... Federalization and decentralization may become possible, giving regions the right to develop historical ties with Russia, among other things," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
