Regular Moscow —Riyadh flights have been launched
A landmark event took place in the development of bilateral relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia: the opening of direct scheduled flights between the capitals of the two countries. The first flight arrived at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport, marking a new stage in the dynamically growing cooperation.
This step was a natural continuation of the deepening dialogue between Moscow and Riyadh, which is actively developing, including due to the status of Saudi Arabia as a guest country of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in 2026.
The opening of the air bridge not only strengthens business and humanitarian ties, but also contributes to the implementation of agreements reached at major international venues. The 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the Kingdom, celebrated next year, attaches special importance to this event.
It is planned that flights will be operated several times a week, which will create additional opportunities for expanding cooperation in trade, economic, investment and cultural spheres. This is in line with the spirit of strategic partnership and meets the interests of the business communities of both countries.
