In Novorossiysk, about 24 tons of auto parts were found in a container from China

Employees of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation found almost 24 tons of illegally imported auto parts in a container from China. This was announced on August 11 by the press service of the department.

"During the customs inspection of the consignment, Novorossiysk customs officers found 2,976 brake discs for cars that were not declared in the declaration. Their market value exceeds 4 million rubles," the FCS Telegram channel says.

It is noted that undeclared goods were imported to the address of an individual entrepreneur from Krasnodar. The offender faces a heavy fine and confiscation of the goods. A case of administrative offenses has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 16.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Non-declaration of goods in accordance with the prescribed form"). The issue of initiating a criminal case is being considered, the FCS added.

On July 17, the press service of the Federal Customs Service informed Izvestia that in January–June 2025, the smuggling of precious and semi-precious stones, gold, precious metals and jewelry made from them was stopped for 753.4 million rubles. The customs authorities have initiated 63 criminal cases on the facts of their illegal movement.
