On Monday morning, a noticeable 3.2 magnitude earthquake also occurred in Ankara in the Etymesgut area at a depth of 4.68 km. Residents of several houses in the Chankai area felt the tremors.
Before that, on August 7, an earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred in Papua New Guinea. The seismic event was recorded 860 km northeast of the city of Port Moresby with a population of about 283 thousand. On the same day, a magnitude 5.9 earthquake was recorded in the south-west of the Japanese Ryukyu Islands.
