Klyuchevskaya volcano in Kamchatka spewed ash to a height of 9 km above sea level. This was announced on August 11 by the Kamchatka Volcanic Eruption Monitoring Group of the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"At 18:00 (09:00 Moscow time), the explosions lifted the ashes of the Klyuchevskaya volcano 9 km above sea level. The ash plume stretches for 1,114 km east of the volcano," follows from the publication in the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the volcano's activity is considered dangerous for local and international air transportation, and the aviation color code "red" has been announced in this regard.

On the same day, an ash discharge to a height of more than 12 km from the Klyuchevskaya volcano was recorded. It was clarified that the ash plume was heading east from Klyuchevsky, towards the Pacific Ocean. On August 10, another similar incident occurred. Then the ejection was made to a height of up to 10 km.

On August 3, experts noted 10 earthquakes in Kamchatka, and more than 65 natural disasters in just one day. The next day, the situation repeated itself: seven significant earthquakes occurred during the day.
