Five employees of the Arab TV channel Al Jazeera together as a result of an attack by the Israel Defense Forces. This was announced on August 11 by the TV channel.

"Al Jazeera journalist Anas al-Sharif was killed along with four colleagues in a targeted Israeli attack on a tent where journalists lived in Gaza City," the statement said.

It is specified that the journalists were in a tent located at the main gate of the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City.

"Seven people were killed in an attack on a tent located at the main gate of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City late on Sunday evening. Among the dead are Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Kriki and cameramen Ibrahim Zaher, Mohammed Noufal and Moamen Aliva," the TV channel added.

The IDF reported on the attack on Anas al-Sharif earlier, on the evening of August 10. According to the publication, the journalist allegedly headed a terrorist cell of the Palestinian Hamas movement and was responsible for rocket attacks on Israeli military and civilians. Experts came to such conclusions during the study of documents found in the Gaza Strip.
