"At the moment, 24 damage reports have been received in 112 emergency call centers, and verification work is ongoing. One building collapsed in the Syrdyrga area," the department wrote on the social network X.

According to AFAD, 20 aftershocks of up to 5 magnitude occurred after the earthquake in western Turkey.
