Units of the Armed Forces of Russia, having liberated the town of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), are actively advancing towards the village of Mayskoye. This was announced on August 10 by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.

"After the liberation of Chasova Yar, we see that attention has already shifted here, and there is active progress towards the village of Mayskoye," Pushilin said in a video message on his Telegram channel.

Russian troops are also advancing in the south-west and south-east directions from Konstantinovka.

"The Konstantinovsky direction. Here we see that the settlement of Yablonovka has been liberated, and there is also progress in the area of Poltava and Rusynova Yara. We are also recording successes in the area of the village of Shcherbinovka. The fighting is quite difficult, but Russian troops are keeping the situation under control," stated the head of the DPR.

In the Red Army area, the military has focused on the Krasnoarmeysk-Dobropolye road, where they operate on one broad front. The situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is also rapidly deteriorating in Krasnoarmeysk, Pushilin added.

Russian troops have liberated significant territories, putting the Ukrainian Armed Forces in danger of losing strategically important cities.

On August 9, the Russian army liberated the town of Yablonovka in the DPR. It was clarified that the goal was achieved thanks to the decisive actions of the units of the Center group of forces. As a result, the Ukrainian army lost more than 406 fighters and military equipment. Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated the command and personnel of the 20th Guards Carpathian-Berlin Red Banner Order of Suvorov, 2nd class Motorized Rifle Division on the liberation of the settlement.

Russian servicemen liberated the town of Chasov Yar on July 31. Retired Colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, a former special forces officer, noted that the liberation of the settlement creates new prospects for the Russian army in the region.
