Vance: Trump is going to stop allocating funds to the Ukrainian conflict
The United States will no longer finance the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on August 10 by American Vice President J. D. Vance.
"The President [of the United States Donald] Trump and I certainly believe that the issue of financing the conflict in Ukraine is closed for America," he said in an interview with Fox News.
According to him, Americans are tired of the fact that their money and tax dollars are constantly being spent on this conflict.
In addition, Vance clarified that the American administration has invited the Europeans to take on a greater role in financing the conflict. The vice president added that if Europe wants to continue purchasing weapons from American manufacturers, the United States will not mind, but they themselves are no longer going to allocate funds to the conflict.
Earlier, on August 9, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis stressed the change in the US approach to the Ukrainian conflict under the Trump administration. According to him, now Washington does not insist on the participation of the Kiev regime in a peaceful settlement. He also noted that the resolution of the conflict will also take place without the participation of Europe.
Prior to that, The Wall Street Journal reported on an alleged "large-scale proposal" for the United States from Russia to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. It was clarified that the plan consists of two stages — Kiev's acceptance of territorial concessions and their international recognition in exchange for a cease-fire, as well as the approval by Washington and Moscow of a peace treaty, which will subsequently be signed by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
