Greek football club (FC) Panathinaikos will end its cooperation with Russian goalkeeper Yuri Lodygin. This was announced by the team's press service on August 10.
"Yuri, thank you for your presence, experience and moral principles. Good luck in your next stage," the team's page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
The 35-year-old Russian has defended the gates of the Greek club since 2022. The goalkeeper played 36 matches in the team, and did not concede goals in 16.
In 2024, Lodygin won the Greek Cup as a member of Panathinaikos. He also has 11 matches in the Russian national football team. In Russia, he played for Arsenal Tula and Zenit, with whom he won the 2014/15 Russian Championship, Sport-Express added.
On August 6, it was reported that Samara football club (FC) Krylia Sovetov had leased 27-year-old Russian champion Ilzat Akhmetov from Zenit St. Petersburg. The agreement between the parties is valid until the end of the 2025/26 season. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the market value of the player is €1.5 million.
