Kalashnikov Concern talked about the effectiveness of the Whirlwind missile against UAVs

The Vortex air-launched anti-tank guided missile performs well against large drones (UAVs). This was announced on August 10 by Alan Lushnikov, President of the Kalashnikov Concern.

"This work, it's done. We have to conduct flight tests of it. After that, we will be ready to bring it into the series. The missile performs very well against all sufficiently large drones," he told TASS.

The AK-12K is designed to conduct rapid assaults in a confined space.

Earlier in the day, the Kalashnikov Concern presented the latest AK-15K and AK-15SK assault rifles. According to Sergey Urzhumtsev, the chief designer of the concern, countries from Africa, Asia and Latin America are showing interest in these machines.
