The special services of Ukraine have recruited five retired women to commit terrorist acts as "live bombs" in Russia. This was announced on August 11 at the Center for Public Relations (SOC) by the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia.

"To commit terrorist attacks, representatives of the special services of Ukraine, using fraudulent schemes and psychological influence, attracted five women of retirement age who have <...>..> fraudulently stole funds stored in banking institutions, as well as received from the sale of their homes," the FSB said.

Fraudsters, posing as employees of Russian law enforcement agencies, deceived pensioners through the international Internet messengers Telegram and WhatsApp (part of Meta, the organization is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation), promising to return lost savings.

Under the pressure of psychological influence, the women were involved in monitoring the places of residence and parking of military vehicles, as well as in the storage of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). These devices were supposed to be handed over to military personnel, which, according to the criminals, would have led to the death of not only military personnel, but also the women themselves.

"A man called me from an unknown number and told me all my details, place of residence, address, and year of birth. Under the pretext that you give your passport information everywhere, he asked me to name them, and I gave him all my passport information," said one of the pensioners.

It clarifies that a criminal case was initiated under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 205, paragraph "a" of Part 3 of Article 222 ("Attempted commission of a terrorist act by a group of persons by prior agreement or an organized group, illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives substances or explosive devices committed by a group of persons by prior agreement") of the Criminal Code of Russia.

Earlier, on August 7, it was reported that in the Novosibirsk region, law enforcement officers prevented an attempted assassination of a soldier using toxic chemicals by two teenagers. It was noted that the defendants acted on instructions from the special services of Ukraine, which promised them a monetary reward for the murder of a Russian military man.
