In the city of Chita, Zabaykalsky Krai, the Angara aircraft of the Chita – Chara direction returned to the airport due to a detected technical malfunction. This was announced on August 10 by the Eastern Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SUT TFR) for the region.

"After the takeoff of the aircraft following the direction, a technical malfunction was detected. The aircraft returned to Chita airport," the ministry said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that there were no casualties as a result of the incident.

According to the department, an investigative check is being conducted on this fact. A criminal case was initiated under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of air transport").

Earlier, on August 8, the Taiga Airline plane, which was traveling in the direction of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk – Sovetskaya Gavan, urgently returned to the departure airport due to a malfunction. It is specified that some time after takeoff, the crew discovered a malfunction in the aircraft, as a result, it was decided to return the aircraft. There were 14 passengers on board at the time, including four minors. The landing was successful. There are no casualties or damage to the vessel.
