In Kamchatka, the Klyuchevskaya volcano made an ash release to a height of up to 10 km. This was announced on August 10 by the Institute of Volcanology and Seismology of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in its Telegram channel.

"The explosions lifted the ashes of the Klyuchevskaya volcano by 10 km. The ash plume stretches 460 km east-northeast of the volcano," the report said.

Currently, the volcano has been assigned the "red" aviation hazard code.

Earlier, on August 9, an ash discharge to a height of more than 11.5 km occurred from the Klyuchevskaya volcano. The ash plume spread in a northeasterly direction towards the Kamchatka Strait.
