Bild reported a possible suspension of production in Germany due to delays from China

German companies plan to suspend the production of weapons due to the delay in the supply of raw materials from China. This was reported by the Bild newspaper on August 9, citing sources.

"Germany is arming itself, but raw materials from China are needed to start production. Now more and more companies are complaining that deliveries are not being carried out. The German government is concerned," the publication says.

The German Ministry of Economy expressed concern about the current situation.

"We take the risks associated with China's export controls on critically important raw materials very seriously and view the situation with concern," the ministry said.

According to Bild, China's share in the global production of rare earth metals reaches about 90%.
