Mint is a fairly popular and beloved plant that is often grown in the garden. But mint can bring not only benefits, but also harm. About this on August 9, "Gazeta.Ru" was told by Georgy Suslyanok, Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology and Bioorganic Synthesis at ROSBIOTECH University.

The biotechnologist noted that mint contains many vitamins (A, group B, C), minerals (potassium, magnesium, iron) and amino acids (tryptophan, lysine and valine). It is noted that this plant is a natural antiseptic.

According to the expert, mint has anti-inflammatory, choleretic and soothing effects, as well as improves blood circulation and helps a person experience a feeling of satiety.

However, it should not be eaten very often.

"Mint should not be drunk by people with low blood pressure and varicose veins. In addition, <...> mint tea can cause lethargy, drowsiness and apathy," explained Suslyanok.

The expert added that regular consumption of mint by men can lead to a decrease in sexual activity.
