Two people were killed and three injured in an accident in the Vysokogorsky district of Tatarstan. This was announced by the Telegram channel of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic on Saturday, August 9.

"According to preliminary data, near the village of Chepchugi, the driver of a Lada Granta car drove into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a Hyundai Creta car," the report said.

The driver and passenger of the domestic car died on the spot from their injuries. The driver and two minor passengers of the second car were injured, their condition is not specified.

The prosecutor of the Vysokogorsky district, Rim Sungatullin, went to the scene to establish the causes and circumstances of the car accident. A procedural check is being conducted on the fact of the incident.
