The prosecutor's office took control of delays and cancellations of flights from Kaliningrad

The North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office took control of the situation with delays and cancellations of flights at Kaliningrad Airport. This was announced on August 9 by the press service of the department in the Telegram channel.

It is noted that in just one day, 22 flights were delayed and three flights were canceled at Khrabrovo Airport.

"Flights to Kazan, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Ufa and Moscow are delayed. Flights from St. Petersburg, Kazan, Moscow, Arkhangelsk and Ufa will arrive late," the prosecutor's office said.

The situation with respect for passengers' rights and the provision of services provided for by federal aviation regulations is being monitored.

Khrabrovo Airport itself is operating normally.

It will not be easy to achieve compensation for moral damage — a large-scale failure may be recognized as force majeure.

Earlier in the day, Aeroflot warned about cancellations of flights to Sochi and Gelendzhik due to restrictions. Passengers are asked to make a refund or rebook tickets for other dates. Rossiya Airlines flights were also adjusted.
