In the village of Krasnoarmeysky, Rostov region, a two-year-old child died in a fire after turning on an electric boiler in a summer kitchen. This was announced on August 9 by the regional office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
According to the agency, after switching on the electrical appliance in the annex, household items caught fire.
"The child's mother was in the house. Not finding her son nearby, she ran out into the courtyard and saw smoke billowing from the summer kitchen. Unfortunately, the baby could not be saved — he was poisoned by acrid smoke," the department's Telegram channel says.
Experts continue to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy.
On August 5, a garden house caught fire in the Ermolinsky rural settlement of the Novgorod region as a result of a lightning strike. 10 specialists and three pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that four fires have already occurred this year due to a thunderstorm front in the Novgorod region.
