Two people have died after a small plane crashed in Valencia, Spain. This was reported on August 9 by the EFE agency, citing sources in the regional Ministry of Health.

"Two people died on Saturday after an ultralight plane crashed in the El Ponton area of the Valencian municipality of Requena," the report said.

It is specified that the accident occurred around 11:25 a.m. (12:25 Moscow time). The crash occurred in an agricultural area. Both victims were residents of Valencia, EFE reports.

The incident is currently under investigation. As a result of the accident, the license plate and most of the aircraft burned down, which caused a small fire. Rescuers extinguished it.
