Russia may invest in the reconstruction of the railway between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this on August 9.

He specified that Armenian railways are currently operated by a subsidiary of Russian Railways (RZD).

"Perhaps the Russian side will be interested in investing in the restoration of the Ijevan—Hrazdan railway (a city in Armenia. — Ed.), Ijevan — Gazakh (a city in Azerbaijan — Ed.). Here, of course, the consent of the Azerbaijani side will be needed," Pashinyan said.
