The Russian Armed Forces hit the fighters and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with an Iskander in the Chernihiv region

Russian military personnel fired an Iskander tactical missile system at a place where militants and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were concentrated in the area of the village of Stakhorshchyna, Chernihiv region. This was announced on Saturday, August 9, by the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to intelligence data, as a result of a high-explosive missile strike on the target, several heavy-duty vehicles with equipment and weapons and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carrying out loading and unloading operations were destroyed.

"The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to up to 20 Ukrainian servicemen," the report said.

On the same day, the air defense forces shot down a Su-27 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force. The defeat was inflicted by operational and tactical aircraft, attack drones, rocket troops and artillery groups of troops.
