A policeman wounded in a shooting in Georgia died in hospital.
David Rose, a Dekalb County police officer who was wounded in a shooting near the Emory University campus in Atlanta (Georgia, USA), died of his injuries. This was reported on August 9 by ABC TV channel with reference to the police department.
"Officer Rose served in Dekalb County with courage, integrity, and unwavering dedication. Even in the face of danger, he diligently fulfilled his duty to protect our community," the police statement said.
According to the publication, the policeman was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being injured. His death was pronounced in a medical facility. It is specified that the deceased officer has a pregnant wife and two children.
The shooting at the Emory University campus in Atlanta occurred on August 8. Law enforcement officers eliminated the attacker. It was clarified that four people sought medical help "due to symptoms of stress and anxiety."
