A married couple was killed when an APU drone hit a car in the Belgorod region.

A married couple died as a result of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) strike The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) by car in the Belgorod region. This was announced on August 9 by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov in his Telegram channel.

"Two civilians were killed. In the village of Baitsury, Borisov district, a drone purposefully hit a moving car in which there was a married couple," Gladkov wrote.

The governor of the Belgorod region clarified that the man died on the spot from his injuries. His wife was taken to the Borisovskaya Central Hospital in serious condition. Doctors fought for her life, but the effects of her injuries proved incompatible with life.

Earlier in the day, one person was killed and two injured in an attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces drones on the village of Pochaevo in the Belgorod region. Gladkov clarified that the blow fell on a private house. The wounded were taken to the hospital.
