In the Kaluga region, the wreckage of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) fell on the territory of a private house, damaging the facade of the building. This was announced on Saturday, August 9, by the governor of the region Vladislav Shapsha.

"In the Ferzikov district, UAV debris fell on the territory of a private household. During the fall, the debris damaged the facade of the building. There are no casualties," Shapsha wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to the governor, 13 UAVs were destroyed by air defense forces over the territory of the Kaluga Region at night. Of these, three are in the Meshchovsky district, two in Zhukovsky, two in Mosalsky, as well as one each in Kaluga, Obninsk, Sukhinichi, Kirovsky, Ferzikovsky and Dzerzhinsky districts.

Operational groups are working at the crash sites to clarify the circumstances of the incident. There are no casualties.

On the same day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the air defense forces destroyed 21 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian territory from 05:10 to 08:00 Moscow time. It was clarified that seven drones were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov, six over the territory of the Bryansk region, and four over the territory of the Kaluga Region. Also, three Ukrainian UAVs were shot down over the Black Sea, one was destroyed in the sky over the territory of the Republic of Crimea.
