According to Neewsweek, the shooting occurred at about 01:20 Eastern time (8:20 Moscow time) on Saturday at the intersection of West 44th Street and 7th Avenue.

"Three victims are being treated at Bellevue Hospital, their condition is stable," the publication says.

Newsweek clarifies that among the victims are an 18—year-old girl and two men aged 19 and 65. The police took one suspect into custody.

Earlier in the day, a shooting was reported on the campus of Emory University in Atlanta, USA. It is specified that the incident occurred on August 7, one person was killed, two policemen were injured in a shooting in the US state of Pennsylvania. The police later eliminated the shooter. One law enforcement officer was injured during the shootout. Four more people were forced to seek medical help.
