Over the past day, 43 aftershocks have been recorded in the Kamchatka Territory after the earthquake. This was announced on August 9 by the main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.

"43 aftershocks occurred during the day. One of them was felt in the settlements," the report says.

It is specified that temporary accommodation facilities are operating in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and in the Vilyuchinsky city district. There were 61 people in them during the day. Psychologists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations continue to work with people.

The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations added that due to the activity of the Klyuchevsky volcano, there is a threat of erosion of the road section from the 153rd to the 187th km of the Milkovo - Ust-Kamchatsk highway. Due to the increased seismicity, tourists are advised to refrain from visiting the Avachinsky and Klyuchevsky volcanoes.

On July 30, a powerful earthquake of magnitude 8.7 occurred in the Kamchatka Territory. A tsunami threat was declared on the coast of the Avacha Bay. Emergency regimes were introduced in the North Kuril region of the Sakhalin Region and in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. According to the Ministry of Health of the Kamchatka Territory, one person was injured in the region, his condition is satisfactory.

On August 3, 10 significant earthquakes were recorded in Kamchatka, and more than 65 earthquakes occurred in just one day. On August 4, the situation repeated itself: seven significant earthquakes occurred during the day, and more than 85 earthquakes occurred during the day.
