A motorcycle driver was killed in an accident in Vladivostok.

One person was killed and another seriously injured in a car crash in the Sovetsky district of Vladivostok. This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Primorsky Krai on Saturday, August 9.

"According to preliminary information, on August 9 at about 00:05 (on August 8 at about 17:05 Moscow time. An unidentified driver of a Kawasaki motorcycle, moving from Vladivostok's 100th Anniversary Avenue in the direction of Poletaev Street, lost control and hit a guardrail, after which he collided with a Mitsubishi RVR car moving in the same direction," the report said.

The motorcycle driver died on the spot from his injuries before the ambulance arrived. The girl who was his passenger was hospitalized with combined injuries in the intensive care unit.

The leadership of the regional and city State Traffic Inspectorate, employees of the highway patrol service and an intensive care ambulance worked at the scene of the accident.

A fatal accident investigation has now begun, and necessary investigations are underway.

Earlier, on August 7, it became known that three minors were injured in a collision between two motorcycles in the village of Podkumok, Stavropol Territory. According to preliminary data, a 15-year-old Himoto motorcycle driver, moving at an unsafe speed, lost control and collided with a Kayo motorcycle driven by a 16-year-old teenager.
