On August 9, Sergey Mironov, the winner of the final of the Russian Golf Association Cup (AGR), a member of the Russian national team, spoke about his impressions of participating in the competition.

"I was determined to win because I really wanted to. Considering the fact that I won the competition that was held before this tournament, <...> I wanted to win the final too. Especially on such a beautiful field," he shared in an interview with Izvestia.

Marina Minina, Vice President of the association, said that the organization is looking for new formats and plans to increase the popularity of the sport in Russia.

"We really want to move away from elitism to, I won't say that right away to mass, but to universally recognized, unifying, dynamic, vibrant sports," she said.

From July 20 to 26, 2025, the first ever Russian Golf Team Championship was held at the Forest Hills Golf Course in the Moscow Region. The tournament was organized by the Russian Golf Association with the support of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation and a number of partners. Following the results of the competition, the teams of the Moscow region won both the men's and women's team competitions, thus completing the "golden double". 32 teams took part in the competition — 16 men's and women's teams each.

On May 23, it was reported that an international golf tournament was held in the Moscow Region among schoolchildren aged eight to 14 who attend school golf classes. It was clarified that the younger participants played with plastic clubs for safety reasons, and the older ones with professional equipment.
