US President Donald Trump has shown his leadership in de-escalating the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on August 8 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special representative of the President of Russia for cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), on the social network X (Former. Twitter).

This is how he reacted to the statement of the American president that his team "did not allow the conflict in Ukraine to escalate into World War III."

"This is leadership. [44th US President Joe] Biden teetered on the edge, trying to push the situation back — fortunately, he failed," Dmitriev wrote.

On the same day, Trump announced a meeting with Putin in Alaska on August 15. The US president noted that details about the upcoming negotiations will be published later.

The leader of the United States also expressed confidence in the possibility of signing a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine in the coming months. Commenting on this issue, Trump stated the need for territorial concessions from both sides.

On August 7, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund said that Russia is currently conducting an important dialogue with the United States, but there are many opponents of Moscow who are trying to disrupt it and misinform the American leadership. The dialogue that has begun allows Russia to clearly communicate its position. Thus, the growth of the Russian economy significantly exceeded the figures of the United Kingdom and the European Union (EU), where there is almost stagnation. In addition, the Russian Federation copes well with various forms of pressure on its market.
