The Palestinian Fatah faction accused Israel of disrupting the prospects for a political settlement and its intention to implement a plan to occupy the Gaza Strip.

"This plan (the plan of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. — Ed.) reflects the persistent desire to continue the war, commit crimes of genocide and forced eviction, and also represents the blatant implementation of the project of invading the sector and undermining any real possibility of a political settlement," the official representative of the movement, Abdel Fattah Al-Dawla, told Izvestia.

According to him, this document was a "direct blow" to the diplomatic efforts of Arab and other countries and a demonstrative challenge to the international community demanding an end to hostilities.

The Fatah movement warns against the dangerous plan imposed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It consists in the occupation of the Gaza Strip under the pretext of "humanitarian evacuation," the Palestinian representative noted.

Earlier, Netanyahu announced his intention to establish full control over the entire territory of the exclave to create a "security perimeter", after which he would transfer control to a new "civilian government." At the same time, he stressed that Israel does not plan to hold the sector in the long term.
