- Checkpoints at Moscow construction sites will be equipped with biometric access control systems
From September 1, all checkpoints at Moscow construction sites will be equipped with biometric access control systems. This was announced on Friday, August 8, by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Urban Planning Policy.
He noted that this would allow for strict staff checks, eliminate the use of other people's passes, and increase security. This will not only increase the level of security, but also allow you to quickly respond to any threats, as well as prevent illegal actions. The system will be connected to the regional segment of the unified biometric database and the registry of builders, which will ensure full control and transparency at all stages, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Urban Planning Policy Department, called the decision an important step to protect workers and strategic facilities. Developers will be able to choose compatible systems from the published list, writes RT.
