Since the evening of August 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin has held six telephone conversations with world leaders.

In particular, the Russian leader held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakh leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Among the topics discussed were issues of bilateral cooperation and international politics. In conversations with the heads of state, regional issues and efforts to strengthen partnerships were also discussed. In addition, the Ukrainian crisis and the results of Putin's meeting with the US President's special representative Stephen Witkoff were discussed with all the leaders.

On the same day, Lukashenko announced his readiness to organize a trilateral meeting in Minsk with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. The Belarusian leader stressed that Putin, like the Russian society, wants peace and is ready for negotiations.
