A criminal case has been opened against the Chief on the fact of cable cable breakage in the resort area. This was reported on August 8 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.

"A criminal case has been opened under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, which negligently caused serious harm)," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that an inspection of the scene is currently underway. A number of measures are being carried out to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident.

The cable car broke earlier in the day. Later, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region reported that five people were injured in the incident. The condition of the injured was not specified.
