"A criminal case has been opened under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, which negligently caused serious harm)," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

The cable car broke earlier in the day. Later, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region reported that five people were injured in the incident. The condition of the injured was not specified.
