A local resident who was holding two women hostage was detained in Dagestan.
Two hostages held by an armed man have been released in the Tarumovsky district of Dagestan. This was announced on August 8 by the press service of the Rosgvardiya Directorate for the republic on the website.
It is specified that a 62-year-old resident of the Tarumovsky district broke into his ex-wife's house with a hunting rifle. His ex-wife and her sister were there, whom he decided to take hostage.
According to the press service, the man demanded to provide him with a district judge and a representative of the prosecutor's office in order to resolve housing disputes after the divorce. During the negotiations, law enforcement officers managed to free his ex-wife's sister. Later, two hours later, the attacker was neutralized, and another victim was released.
"Weapons and ammunition were seized from the scene. The man was taken to the police department for trial," it follows from the material.
Earlier, on August 6, in the Moscow metro at the CSKA station, a man attacked a security officer with a knife. It was noted that the attacker tried to stay in the subway after closing. When the guard asked him to leave the station, the man started a conflict, pulled out a knife and stabbed. The victim needed medical attention, and the 39-year-old defendant was detained.
