In the Kherson region, five people were injured as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Over the past day, five people were injured in the Kherson region as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on August 8 by the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo.

"Two men born in 2008 and 1976 were injured in the Holopristan district in the village of Gladkovka," Saldo wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, two men were also injured in Novaya Zburyevka, they were taken to a medical facility with mine-explosion injuries. Saldo added that a woman born in 1961 was injured in Alyoshki.

In addition, as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian army, dry grass fires and forest fires occurred in the Holopristan region of the region.

"As a result of the shelling, forest fires occurred in the Holopristan district (Rybalche and Chulakovka) with a total area of 234 hectares," Baldo said.

Earlier, on August 6, in the village of Doroshch in the Grayvoronsky district of the Belgorod region, three civilians were injured due to an attack by an APU drone. According to Vyacheslav Gladkov, the head of the region, the injured woman was diagnosed with a closed craniocerebral injury and shrapnel wounds, one of the men suffered barotrauma and burns, the other - presumably, barotrauma.
